H
urricane Harvey hit Texas on Friday, August 25, 2017, between
Port Aransas and Port O’Connor. It is tied with 2005’s Hurricane
Katrina as the costliest on record, inflicting $125 billion in damage,
primarily from catastrophic rainfall-triggered flooding in the Houston
area and Southeast Texas. The number of homes destroyed by winds
and flooding is too many to count.
However, in the days following the storm, many Palm Harbor
homeowners living along the
Texas Gulf Coast reached
out to share their stories and
thank Palm Harbor for their
well-built home.

“We are so happy we
bought a Palm Harbor
home! With the passing
of Hurricane Harvey, we
are even happier that we
purchased this home.
After the hurricane,
we drove around our
neighborhood, which is
all manufactured homes.
What we saw was that our
neighbors’ homes weren’t
as fortunate as ours. They
had experienced a lot of
damage to their homes.
We’re so glad that we
did our homework and
research to find the Best
Manufacturer of homes!”

“When we first came down after Hurricane Harvey
hit, we were amazed at how wonderful our Palm
Harbor home came. It was intact and we are so
pleased with the way it was built. It’s a modular
home. If you need a home, I definitely would
recommend Palm Harbor.”
